New exhibition in the Sea World Zoo!
A new exhibition "Rivers of the Western Ghats" has been created at the Sea World Zoo.
This unique and less known area is presented in a unique, 9-metre long tank, which simulates the course of the river from the source to the valley in three sections.
The Western Ghats, a mountain range in southern India, is one of the eight most species-rich areas in the world, fully comparable to the Amazon.
The aquarium is divided into three segments - the spring pool with extra strong flow, the middle flow of the river and the forest pool.
There will be well-known and very little bred fish on display - Denison barb, melon barb, sewellia, loach, barred loach, Malabar danio, snakeheads, catfish and others.
So come and admire the diversity of the fish species and habitats of the Western Ghats!
